One of the best, actually. Thursday at KASTAN has a great atmosphere. Lively enough to feel like an occasion, relaxed enough to actually have a proper conversation.
We are open from 16:00, just like Friday. If your team can never quite agree on a day: Thursday is often easier to fill than Friday, when people have personal plans. And the weekend still starts the next morning regardless.

Bij KASTAN koken we zo lokaal, onbespoten en uit het seizoen mogelijk. Het liefst ingekocht direct van de boer. Daarom werken we samen met Lolita van Teler made farm. Een biologische boerderij in de noordkop van de Haarlemmermeer.

Circulair bouwen
De oude wagenschuur stond niet altijd al bij het station van Hoofddorp. Hij is daar in 2022 opnieuw opgebouwd na een verhuizing van de originele plek. De schuur deed dienst als wagenschuur achter de Adolfshoeve aan de hoofdweg iets ten noorden van Hoofddorp, hemelsbreed 3 km van de huidige locatie. Hoe oud hij exact is, wordt nog verder onderzocht maar hij is, even na de inpoldering in 1852, gebouwd en door de in het hout gekraste initialen met jaartallen kunnen we met zekerheid zeggen dat de schuur er in 1880 stond.

KASTAN is gasloos. Onze energie wordt opgewekt door 36 zonnepanelen op ons dak en de pieken in onze energiebehoefte worden opgevangen door onze 100 kWh slimme batterij.
Ons water en onze vloerverwarming worden verwarmd door een warmtepomp.
